Milo’s Nest began with one little boy, one family’s journey, and a belief that no child should have to compromise on comfort, dignity or belonging simply because clothing wasn’t designed with their needs in mind.

Our story began in 2020, when our founder, Louise—a registered nurse—welcomed her son Milo, who was born with Down syndrome and multiple medical complexities.

For the first four years of Milo’s life, our family spent much of our time moving between hospital and home. There were procedures, medical equipment, long hospital stays and countless moments when something as ordinary as getting dressed suddenly wasn’t ordinary at all.

As both a nurse and a mum, Louise experienced two sides of the same world: the clinical understanding of complex care and the deeply personal reality of raising a child who needed clothing to work differently for him.

And something became impossible to ignore.

Children like Milo deserved better.

They deserved clothing that worked with their bodies, medical devices and individual needs—not against them.

Clothing that made dressing and accessing medical care easier. Clothing that felt soft and comfortable. Clothing that supported dignity and independence.

And clothing that allowed them to enjoy the same beautiful styles as other children, without their needs setting them apart.

With the unwavering support of her husband, Bon, Louise turned that lived experience into something bigger.

Milo’s Nest was born.

Designed differently, so children don't have to feel different.

Milo’s Nest creates thoughtfully designed adaptive and inclusive clothing for children with disabilities, medical complexities and additional care needs.

But for us, true inclusion goes beyond simply adding an adaptive feature.

We believe children shouldn't have to choose between clothing that works for their needs and clothing they love to wear.

That’s why our designs bring together adaptive functionality, softness, comfort and style—with corresponding non-adaptive options so siblings, friends and children of different abilities can enjoy the same beautiful looks together.
